In India, RAK Ceramics has the largest and the most ultra modern Italian plant and huge production set-up backed by strong R & D with a manufacturing capacity of 30,000 sq. mts. of Vitrified tiles and about 1,500 Sanitaryware pieces/day in different combinations.
The factory located in Peddapuram, Andhra Pradesh has machines of World’s No. 1 Ceramic technology supplier - SACMI with the widest range of fully atomized plant to produce all types of Vitrified tiles in single and double charges with normal and reverse feeding to get good texture & design and developments to give different varieties of products.
Keeping up with the global concern of protecting the environment the manufacturing plant is based on green concept & the company is one of the founding members in Indian Green Building Council with the objective to protect the nature and save earth. For this, we have been following recycling process for raw material input, reutilizing waste water, keeping emissions in control as per norms and apart from this is also under process to implement ISO 14000 and ISO 18000. Very good green development along with good housekeeping can be seen maintaining a hygienic environment in and around the factory.
RAK Ceramics has also been using high grade raw materials in its production process. Up to 50% of the raw materials are imported from abroad and rest is procured from Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat. These high quality raw materials are used to get good physical and chemical properties of finished goods. RAK ceramics is the only company in India to manufacture “GenNext technology based products”. The company is also ready to further develop new designs and implement new advanced technology by accepting the latest developments by machinery manufacturers and indulge in continuous R & D for better products.
In the factory 1050 employees have been working in direct pay roll and approximately 500 employees have been working under contract. The company also looks after employees’ health and safety and has deployed adequate measures for the same.
