RAK Ceramics, the world's largest ceramic tiles & bathware manufacturing company, has announced that they have been awarded the 'CSR Company of the Year’ award in recognition of its long-term commitment to various environmental and social causes at the 2nd Middle East Business Leaders Summit & Awards (MEBLSA) that was held yesterday (Sunday, April 17, 2011) at the Armani Hotel Ballroom, Burj Khalifa, Dubai. In the same event, Dr. Khater Massaad, CEO, RAK Ceramics, was recognised as ‘Masterclass Global CEO .

MEBLSA, organized by Federation of GCC Chambers and The Leaders International Magazine, is firmly established as a strategic platform for the region's top corporate leaders and officials which are to discuss and share important and essential breakthroughs in today's business world. The event is further endorsed by Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which is now in its second year, also aims to facilitate the development of business leaders by providing opportunities for its members and guests. The award ceremony was held on July 11, 2011, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City. SuperBrand Council, the world's largest independent brand arbiter, presented the award to RAK Ceramics.

The 8th Annual International Business Awards 2011 has bestowed an Honorary Stevie Award to Dr. Khater Massaad for his achievements as the visionary CEO behind the success of RAK Ceramics, the world's largest ceramic tiles & bathware manufacturing company. The International Business Awards 2011, more widely known as the Stevie Awards, was held on Tuesday (October 11, 2011) at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi, UAE Minister for Foreign Trade.

As CEO of RAK Ceramics, Dr. Massaad has led and guided the company to become a USD 1 billion global conglomerate and the world’s largest ceramic tiles manufacturer in less than two decades. Dr. Massaad, who holds a Ph.D in Geophysics from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and an M.Sc in Mathematics, implemented a global expansion and rapid diversification strategy that allowed RAK Ceramics to expand its presence to more than 150 countries.

RAK Ceramics, the world's largest ceramic tiles & bathware manufacturing company, has announced that it has been named winner of the "Best In Managing Health At Work Award" in the Asian Leadership Awards (ALA) 2011. The award, presented to RAK Ceramics during the ALA Awards at the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai on September 25, 2011, was hosted by the Asian Confederation of Businesses and supported by Stars of the Industry Group.

RAK Ceramics has been recognized for its strong focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, particularly its efforts to offer quality healthcare services to all employees through the RAK Ceramics Medical Center, which is now managed by RAK Hospital, a leading provider of international-quality healthcare in Ras Al Khaimah.
